On behalf of the children we serve, please consider CASA Kendall County for your charitable givng. Your gift helps us to continue our fight to make sure abused and negelcted children right here in our community have a dedicated voice in the foster care system. Together we can make sure no child loses hope that they can have a forever family and experience the love all children deserve.
CASA Kendall County provides an Advocate for abused and neglected children who are in this county's court system.
CASA is independent from social services and focuses solely on the child's needs. Each Advocate reviews records, interviews parents, teachers and doctors, and visits his or her child at least once a
month. We often find out important information that others miss. Our advocates then appear in court and submit their findings to the judge.
These advocates volunteer their time — free of charge — to act as "the voice" for these abused and neglected children. Yet, it costs money to run this valuable program. CASA Kendall County is a
not-for-profit organization that recruits, trains, and supports volunteer Advocates — it is not a government agency. We rely solely on private donations and grants. Your help is needed.
CASA Kendall County operates at no charge to the taxpayers, the court system or the families involved. However, Illinois is one of only seven states that do not fund their CASA programs. As such CASA Kendall County is a separate nonprofit organization that relies heavily on community support, special events, individual contributions and grants to provide these critical, unduplicated services.
